Jury

Justina Ashman is a writer, editor and PhD candidate at Flinders University on Kaurna Yerta. Her writing has appeared in Liminal, Kill Your Darlings and Pencilled In. She is a co-founder of the Adelaide grassroots film festival Test Fest and was the guest curator of the 2025 Context Writers Festival hosted by Writers SA and the City of Adelaide. She is a producer and series regular of the Amy & podcast with author and Associate Professor Amy Matthews. She has previously worked as an editorial assistant at Kill Your Darlings and as part of the editorial committee for Splinter Journal.

Jonathan Champ

Jonathan is an early-career screenwriter developing projects across film, television, online and narrative audio. He explores themes of change, loss, identity and place.

An AFTRS graduate (Postgraduate Certificate Screen – Screenwriting, 2017), he has been a script consultant for the US-based Finish Line Script Competition in 2019 and 2020. He was a finalist in the 2020 NYC Midnight Short Screenplay Challenge and the 2023 Screenwriters Network Short Screenplay Competition for his work Writer’s Voice. The micro-doc Actual Size (2017) that he conceived and co-wrote at AFTRS was a finalist in the Made In The West Film Festival and has been screened at The Other Art Fair, and at Blacktown Arts One Night At The Museum.
